I've played a lot of games over the past 12 days, and I have perhaps lost track of some really good ones that I played, but I did start keeping track after a bit, and now I want to share some of my favorites. I don't want to share them all at once though. Maybe I will do two a day.

Between Stations

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/between-stations This is far and away my favorite game of the jam so far. It is surreal, and personal, and emotionally impactful. It is a small glimpse into a larger project that the Sand Gardener's are working on, called "Brownie Cove Hotel".

Mr. Capital

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/mr-capital A simple platformer at first glance, but the player assumes the role of a greedy protagonist and must collect all of the gold coins in each level. One problem though...no pockets! The coins stack upward as you collect them and so you must find clever ways navigate the restrictive levels. The game is good because the puzzles, which form from very good level design, compliment the core rule of the game.
