It just allow the games with a lot of ratings get more.\n\nTo be honest, when I first joined Ludum Dare last year, most of the games I rated was the games I found interesting by using the grade filter. Right now I still sometimes use that filter to find some interesting games but I still kind of worry that they deprive the attention of other possibly more deserving games with less ratings, especially with newcomers. \n\nBut that is just my opinion, I still think that the existence of that filter have a good purpose.\n\nAnd also I noticed that there's no dedicated section to the games who like entered the top 10 ranking in each category. Last time I saw something like that was in LD 39 and its just like in a notepad something.
