There should be some kind of restriction for theme suggesting

People just type in 3 random words after 3 seconds of thinking.

How much time was invested in a suggestion if there are trivial spelling errors in it? Or it doesn't even make ANY sense. (Not in a creative way)

They suggest themes which aren't even themes. Forcing a genre or an art style or even an ENGINE on people is not really a theme. Lots of them are too specific, or too vague, or just repetitive. Or just a theme from the previous 5 jams.

(I could continue this whining for hours, but I won't. Just read the other posts about how garbage are most of the themes)

People don't really get how should they suggest a theme.

My suggestion is that there should be some restriction for theme suggesting. Like the easiest: only one suggestion. This will force them to think about it a bit more and lowers the amount of "instant-no" themes.

But also there could be something like: submit one game in a jam. Or reach an overall rating of 2.5 with a game.

You get the idea.

But now I have to stop writing because I have to finish the slaughter.
