Bowing out..

Unfortunately, I bit off a little more than I could chew - always a bad idea following a few months of crunch at the day job. I've been working on vehicle mechanics for a full day now, and I'm sorry to say that my home-rolled was wildly broken, wheras swapping to a wheel-collider system did provide a little relief on the gameplay side, it also broke the main feature (being able to scale your vehicle in size to either smash through objects, or squeeze through tiny spaces).

However, I'm pretty happy with the visual style - very basic, but I think the vaporwave lighting complimented that. I think the focus on light sources rather than model geometry lends itself really well to LD - definitely a style I'll revisit next time, but with a far more basic gameplay loop in mind.

I think next time, I'll book a day or two off work before LD kicks off - coming straight off of crunch, to put yourself back into crunch for LD just doesn't work very well. I've been far too lethargic, and fuzzy-minded to get any scripts really out of the conceptual zone, and into something that feels good to play.

Best of luck to everyone still in - hope you rock it!
