Highlights from games so far, ranting about (possible) problems with webGL build
Recently when I saw jtn191 playing my game on twitch, I noticed that on his setup my game played very differently than it does on my machine - player character moving very slowly, causing the game to be much more difficult than it's supposed to be. I suspect it's something to do with the webGL build. Has anyone had a similar experience with WebGL? Is that why so many games only give a downloadable binary version and not a web version?
Anyway, here are the top 3 of the 13 games I rated so far:
Viral (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/viral): really neat concept (having to delete files on your computer to stop a virus) and great implementation, and the interface felt great.
Park and Match (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/park-match): a very stressing valet simulator :) I had fun with it and thought it conveyed the theme really well.
Flood (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/flood): one of the more polished games I've played. Especially liked the bow shooting mechanic.
Gonna rate more games now. Would appreciate it if people want to try my game out as well! (please try the binary version if webGL version seems too difficult, and tell me if you see a big difference):
