The game designer decided what ideas would be chosen instead of everyone trying to put himself ideas. So everyone had to accept what game designer chose. So we assigned the roles even before we know any idea, and it has worked quite well :). I think this one was one of the best points. A united team is really important.\n\nWhen the jam started we started a brainstorming using trello and we did draft painting prototyping and telling the most important ideas. We voted ideas in 2 ways: First we voted per person, then the selected ideas were voted again based on some criterias like: the most liked, the easiest to develop, the most succesfully commercially, the most fun, so on. \n\n![43423.PNG](\/\/\/raw\/5a3\/5\/z\/1a887.png)\n\nWe did a average and selected this one:\n\n- World becoming smalls (platforms shrinking)\n\nI started to do the first prototyping with blocks in the game while people in graphics, sound and design were thinking next steps.\n![ShrinkPlatforms.gif](\/\/\/raw\/5a3\/5\/z\/1a888.gif)\n\n\nThen our game designer had the idea of the north pole shrinking and we added the penguins and everything :), that idea was great and fitted quite well with the mechanics, and the game designer made some of the ideas of the next levels too. \n\n![423423.PNG](\/\/\/raw\/5a3\/5\/z\/1a891.png)\n\nEverything later during the jam went smoothly. We got to rest well and send our game on sunday.\n\n\n## What went wrong\n\n- Our new people got overwhelmed in some works, I don't know how to solve that, probably less quantity of roles to the new people. \n- The coordination failed sometimes. But it was quite good in general, we cannot be 24 hours online and available xD.\n- I got some bugs in programming. Lack of experience I guess. \n- I decided to adapt to mobile after the jam but the levels are not designed for that and I don't know what is the best UI design for the movement in the penguin, maybe some of you can give me ideas.\n\nFinally, I must say that almost everything was better than I expected.
