My game made it to #61 for fun, and this is massively thank to everyone playing and rating my game, it means a lot to me!! \n\nIf your game is not in #100, this post might be helpful. If you take a quick look at the ranking, you might notice a pattern.\n\n- Popular games do not do so well in the jam, except for Blow The Hen Down and some dozens of other exceptions.\n- Fun: is not necessarily measured by how long you play, Heirs Kingdom does very well despite its short gameplay.\n- Innovation: It's all subjective. I thought Pianobots was the most innovative, turned out I haven't played #1 and #2.\n- Theme: If people can **get it** in 3 seconds within your game, it will do well here.\n- Grapics: I think all games in top 100 are just equally good (sorry for the #101).\n- Audio: If you don't have a musician in the team, try to do a great voice acting like in Lemon.\n- Humor: Don't tell people *my game is funny* like me, it's definitely not as funny as The Hero's Incredible Chronicles.\n- Mood: Guess what, texts can replace dark-themed graphics like in Take Care Of Her too.\n\nSo, bottom line? Anything could happen really, there is nothing to analyze! Just experiment with new ideas and have fun with it ;D. In the mean time? Hone your skills and get prepared for the next LD.
