Learned a lot about different tools and systems.\nSadly life happened and had to work very hard on real games.\n\nBut now, I try my luck again and write my own crossplatform engine. I expect a lot of improvement during this and several other jams in the next few weeks.\n\nThe goal is to have an engine that:\n - can compile in Visual Studio on Windows, with make on Linux and with Android Studio anywhere\n - runs on desktop at least imitating Android devices and on Android\n - uses OpenGL 4 \/ OpenGL ES 3\n - handles basic mouse, keyboard and touch input\n - can render basic 2D\/3D gfx objects and lighting\n - handles a basic camera\n - animates\/moves stuff\n - plays mono music\/sfx as Android devices are mostly mono\n - only basic asset file loaders\n\nWhat will not be the goal on this jam:\n - no physics\n - no particles\n - anything advanced from the above stuff\n - absolutely no fancy debug displays or logging system\n - no advanced error handling\n - no editors\n - no save feature\n - no scripting\n - no multiplayer features nor social media integrations\n\nThat is for a first design statement.
