Day 1: a bit tired

What do I have so far?

  1. I have the game planned, divided into tasks.

    • and I should be able to finish "the game part" at least 'part 1.' The statement thing, and the twist, those are not integral to the code of the first part and therefore I can get this done in the next day.
  2. I have built a :snake: python tool for pico8 to split the :computer: code into less monolithic things (since tabs are supported; this splits the tabs into individual files.)

    • I thought I saw one of these a while back, but apparently I don't have it, or ... maybe it was for lua modules or something. Anyway, I had little time before Talvisota XIII and so I began the tool, and finished when I returned.
    • The :tools: tool can split, and merge, and succeeds at tests. I probably should have used TDD for it but setting that up would have been as long as making the small tool.
  3. I have some base sfx (testing :musical_note: audio) and a very crap logo.

All in all, not HORRIBLE given that 14 :hourglass: hours of this day went to sleep and Talvisota.

perhaps I will use the jam time, since Talvisota was a thing...

what have I learned so far?

I still vastly underestimate the time I need to complete a code task.

... going to :bed: sleep ...
