2305: My first Ludum Dare! [Updated]

What a Jam! This was mine and my friend's first ever Jam and it was a tone of fun!!

I don't know.. I never really had the courage to join a jam thinking that I had to improve a lot more but this time , we just went for it.

  • The game we made was a type of game we have always wanted to make but never really found the right time or setting to make until LD43! I knew that we would not be able to fit everything we wanted into 72 hour Jam, that was 100% completely obvious from the start. We even had to sacrificed some animations and nicer sprites for it! However, for us ,and especially for me, Jams are exactly for that. I look at Jams as an opportunity to build a concept of something much larger, something that people can play and see the future potential. That's what I wanted us to do for this one.

  • There have been a number of people (not many but a hand full) that have seen this as a negative and I can definitely see why one would think so but not for me. I don't know if this makes sense to people and/or if people feel the same about how jams should be but to me it's a personal thing. Everyone should do it however they feel suits the game.

As for the game itself.. well kinda sad we didn't have time to get to the first combat sequence hahah. But it's all good! I'm honestly just happy that we even got something playable and that we enjoyed playing and making it haha. Hope you guys do too : Here it is :
