I got my results back, and they were a little disheartening. I thought my game this year was at least as good as in past years, and a really good fit for the theme, but my ratings were way, way lower than usual, especially in the "Overall" category. In my previous six entries, I've always been between 76th and 95th percentile in Overall, and this time I was 58th, despite the comments on the entry nearly all being more positive than in past years and the game being (I thought) better. Compounding that, I did significantly better than my average on the categories I'm usually worst in, i.e. graphics and sound.

It's almost like I got somebody else's ratings. Anybody else see this going on? I'm wondering what's up. Below is a graph of my ratings for the seven compos I've done, LD43 in the thick brown line.
