Hey guys! I haven’t really been around here lately, but I thought I might post something for the October Challenge. I had aforementioned that I would be participating in LD 33, but that resolution fell through. I was too caught up with my current project, (the one I’m thinking of entering.)

The game that I think I’m going to be entering is a text adventure with a bit of modern zest. It uses lots of music, and it’s even got some graphics thrown in there! Here, marvel at its uniqueness:

Did I mention it was called The Player? Anyway the game plays around with the idea of meta-fiction, and I don’t want to say anything for sure, because the game concept is still kind of up in the air, but, maybe also the idea of video games being a virtual escape from reality? I don’t know, the story isn’t set in stone yet.

Yeah. So anyway, the happy days of summer are long past me, and now I’m rushing to finish my game before the IGF deadline, (did I mention I was entering my game into that?) It’s all crazy, and I have school too, so I’m just trying to finish it all up.

Anyway, I just wanted to make a quick post to organize my thoughts. Everything seems kind of crazy. I’m glad to be back in the community, and, I don’t know… Maybe come October 26th I’ll have a cool game to show you guys!
