Thought I'd throw out another angle for those who might be having trouble with the theme.

"Life" can refer to more than just your health or soul. It could also be your history, your habits, your experiences.

"Currency" can mean more than literal money. It could merely be a reference to something of value that is regularly exchanged, and need not take literal physical form. Like favors. Ideas. Secrets.

If you're in marketing, or know someone else who is, you should be well aware that your life is already bought and sold on a regular basis. Consider data mining as an alternative angle.

That doesn't necessarily mean a marketing or business sim, either. Could also be applied to espionage, private investigation, or hacking. Social media, blogging, etc. If you think of "life" and "currency" as pure information, you should have a fair number of other options to consider.

As for myself: Currently in crunch on a contract coming due in the next week, so unsure if I'll actually be able to participate in this jam, but I'll probably hack away at something while code compiles. My time is money (ha ha, get it, because... oh, never mind). But I might be able to spare a bit here and there...
