Basil Price: Mint Investigator Post-Compo
@JamesOliverMusic and I have been hard at work at a post compo version of Basil Price: Mint Investigator. The game is a tongue in cheek Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney inspired visual novel/detective/puzzle hybrid where you gather clues, figure out who is counterfeiting bills and us the clues you've gathered to get them convicted. So, actually, sort of a reverse Ace Attorney now that I think about it...
The graphics have received a pretty major overhaul. Here's the compo version of the initial conversation:
and post compo

The first case was cut short due to time, but we got to finish it. So if you played it once and enjoyed it, it is worth another playthrough. The dialogs have changed (humor is hopefully still the same) and after your first conviction there is another all new section to play through.
Meet the characters
Basil Price
Our hero and protagonist. He lives for his work which is currency. So you could say HIS LIFE IS CURRENCY, which is the only relation to the theme you will find in the whole game.
Penny Farthing ##
Basil's boss. It isn't that she breaks the 4th wall. Its just that the 4th wall doesn't exist and talking to you is the most natural thing in the world. She is the only character who does it now, I promise.
Encyclopedia Gray
Basil's "friend" who is always happy to be sent on one of Basil's wild goose chases.
Foodtruck Phil
I've got nothing to say about him.
D Mooney Bagg
Is an inspiring actor who can play a large range of characters but is always typecast as a dock working criminal for some reason. Probably the bandanna.
I also put a lot more time into the backgrounds. Now they look... better. Not Good necessarily, but better than they did.
