You've been too kind!
Well it's been a bumpy ride for sure. A race to the deadline and getting something out that's barely playable (I thought)!
But looking at the results, you guys thought differently: it's been on average one of my better scoring Ludum Dares:
To be fair: I think making a game for the good old Commodore 64 gave me some bonus points with the reviewers.
It's been great to do another Ludum Dare after a few years, thanks for everything!
PS1: I saw on my profile on the old LD site I ticked a box of my bucket list:
"My first Ludum was in october 2012 and I did some more. That's a few years ago, but I'd like to do a 'hard Ludum Dare' for the Commodore 64. One day, maybe. Who knows?"
PS2: I'm still working on the game, I think I got rid of most of the big bugs. There is a Commodore 64 16K cartridge competition with a deadline of juli 1st (https://itch.io/jam/c64-16kb-cartridge-game-dev-compo-2019). I would really like to enter the game for that as well (all competitors get their game as a physical cartridge!).
my game at day 1 of the competition:

my game now (I know it doesn't look that good yet, but there's been a lot of improvements!):
