AND it was still a practice of balancing things that I had to do in life and doing GameDev stuff. Probably spent a good 12+ waking hours trying to get my motorcycle endorsement.
\n
But it was still quite an interesting ride.
\n
I’ll definitely pursue it more. It only took me a couple of hours to do a paper prototype based of some GDC Video’s that I’ve watched. Add to it a three-act structure. And it looks a bit like this.
\n

\n
I only really got to finish the Rescue Act, and I’ll have to do the other acts at a later point in time. But it was also an interesting learning experience to use TyranoBuilder. I ended up doing a lot more coding than my background normally would have allowed.
\n
Part of me wishes that I could have done it with Unity/Adventure Creator… but for me to also produce the 3D Artwork was perhaps a bit too time intensive to also merge the other things like story, character to.
\n
It’s all great practice for my larger projects too.
\n
Overall, it was a great experience. I can’t wait to try it again next time!
\n \n
Tags: Visual Novel
", "time": "August 25th, 2015 3:09 am", "title": "Well, it’s out and on its way!"}
