Lucky Lefty has a left handed shell. What does that mean? It means their shell spirals outward in a counter clockwise direction or to the left (sinistral chirality if you want to get all fancy). In many species of snails, the vast majority of snails are right handed and only a rare few are left handed. If you don't spend a lot of time gazing at snails you still might have no clue to what I'm babbling about. It's important to realize that the shell isn't symmetrical, as the shell grows it spirals right (or left) AND out. So the other side of a snail shell that doesn't have the spiral is just the rounded curve of the last spiral. If you are looking at a snail that is facing to the right and you can see the spiral, that means that you will be seeing a clockwise spiral and that snail will have a right-handed shell.

You will notice righties are facing the same direction as above but you can see their spiral in game.
