After I seen it I went to bed and went over some ideas. After a bit of thinking I remembered an idea I had a while ago of a &#8220;Pacific Rim&#8221; inspired tactics game. Making a tactics game would probably be hard to do since I&#8217;m not great at making \u00a0complex systems and 48 hours wouldn&#8217;t be enough time to make one anyway. I decided to make it a traditional rogue-like instead.<\/p>\n <p>I&#8217;ve put about 3.5 hours in so far and I&#8217;ve got:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>A basic proceduraly generating world<\/li>\n <li>Buildings you can destroy<\/li>\n <li>An enemy tank that shoots at you<\/li>\n <li>And you can die<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>The next few hours\u00a0is going to be finishing the mechanics and this after noon I hope to be tweaking and polishing, then tomorrow I&#8217;ll be adding animations and sound stuff.<\/p>\n <p>It&#8217;s coming along a lot faster than I would have thought!<\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p><a href=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/2015\/08\/22\/first-12-hours-pretty-good-so-far\/unity-2015-08-22-06-02-09-11-avi_2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-481891\"><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-481891\" src=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Unity-2015-08-22-06-02-09-11.avi_2.gif\" alt=\"Unity 2015-08-22 06-02-09-11.avi_2\" width=\"480\" height=\"255\" \/><\/a><\/p>","time":"August 22nd, 2015 8:30 am","title":"First 12 hours \u2013 Pretty good so far"}
