I'm in!

I already said that soem days ago - but i am probably in (if i got an good idea of the theme).

As you can see this is now the 10th time (if i made it :D). Since LD39 i am always in (and sometimes it was really hard).

The spring edition of Ludum Dare are not my best - but my winter editions gets better. Also top down games are not my super.

I just want to tell you my favorite games that i made and the worst.

Worst Ludum Dare Games

There where some but every game tells a lesson.

First Worst Game Award "Ludum Dare 42 - Escape Alienation"

This was a very special jam (it was in august 2018 and i was on vacation at the beach). However : making a game when you are on vacation is a really bad idea.

The game was low in everything: Gameplay sucks, had bugs and was too little to be a game.

Second Worst Game Award "Ludum Dare 41 - True Love Adventure"

This was the first time i had REALLY much time in the weekend. My wife was away with my kids and i had time. But the theme sucks so hard at all that i didn't had the best idea. However - i really overscoped at all. And it was my first TopDown Try.

Best Ludum Dare Games

First Best Game "Ludum Dare 45 - Claimbeer"

The theme was too open for most peoples but i thought "Starts with Nothing" is great. I made a small metroidvania like game where a drunken game tries to escape the World. I really like it until today (but i have no idea how to extend it). It was the first and only jam where i tried to "hit" the jam and then on sunday i thought "wait - i can go for compo" and i had really much fun making it.

Second Best Game "Ludum Dare 40 - Wonder Land"

When i look to the review in this game i am wondering how i got so hight scores for innovation and theme. Also when i realised that i lost some progress in the game during development and the funniest level even doesnt made it. However - the art style is not good but the idea and the charme is really great.

Last but not least "Ludum Dare 43 - Hyper Skater"

I love platforming games and i many people instantly played it when i announced it on the LD page. However the ratings where mid - but i still like the game as i made a skateboard game (which was something i wanted to do since i played "Skate or Die - Bad'n'Rad" in my childhood.

What is with the Rest?

Well the rest are games that are "ok but not special". Guntron was too short but was good in gameplay mechanic. A Guy and his princess was the try to make something funny but i realized too late : it wasn't - and i rushed to hit the compo. Risky Life was just another platformer (and it was on the weekend where "Avengers: Endgame" came out).

EnergyBoy is in some kinds special - it was my really first Ludum Dare game (and i was partically drunken when i made it lol). But this was the start to something beatiful, painful, helpless - the addiction to Ludum Dare Game Jams.
