I had only tested a few things briefly for the jam, it was largely a risk to use it in the jam.\nUltimately though, the flow in GameMaker is super nice for quick sprite drops, logic, etc. I chose the game to be fairly simple, and ultimately it fit perfectly for the type of flow GM offers.
