Greetings,<\/p>\n

As the title suggests this will be my third Ludum Dare, and the first time I’ve done some serious (or not so) programming in quite a while. I’m very excited for this one for some reason and I’ve been looking forward to it for a couple of months.<\/p>\n

I’m going to be working with JavaScript again, making use of the html5 canvas element. Here are the libraries I like to work with:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0pixiJS – http:\/\/www.pixijs.com\/
    \n <\/a>Check out it’s feature list, it’s quite impressive. Here’s why I use it:
    \n “Pixi\u2019s strength is speed. All-out, pedal-to-the-metal speed. When it comes to 2D rendering, Pixi is the fastest there is. End of!”<\/li>\n
  2. PhysicsJS – http:\/\/wellcaffeinated.net\/PhysicsJS\/<\/a>
    \n A free open source physics engine designed with and for javascript.
    \n “A modular, extendable, and easy-to-use physics engine for javascript”<\/li>\n
  3. RequireJS – http:\/\/requirejs.org\/<\/a>
    \n I use require mostly to make JS a little more “classy” as it allows you to use the modular pattern naturally and helps you to avoid polluting the global namespace.<\/li>\n <\/ol>\n

    And that’s it, there’s a chance I’ll have to throw in jQuery just for quality of life but I’d like to try and avoid it.<\/p>\n
