Sometimes, I can find ideas that will fit multiple themes.  Here\u2019s what I\u2019m coming up with so far:\n\n**Road trip**\n- Obvious choice is to make a game about driving a car down the road.  Too basic\n- Maybe a resource management game.  You have to handle handing out snacks\/drink, decide how much food\/gas to buy at each stop, decide if you want to waste time stopping or risk the kids having an \u201caccident\u201d\n- Alternate interpretation: making people literally trip in the road.  Cheating in a race? Setting Wile E. Coyote style traps?\n- Driving while on drugs? Idk.\n- A \u201cwhere in the USA is Carmen San Diego\u201d type game, where you\u2019re tracking someone cross county and need to investigate to find out what their next path is.\n\n**Folklore**\n- Basically any folklore tail.  A game about Leprechauns comes to mind. Just type ____ folklore for any culture for ideas.\n- Game about scary campfire stories.  Bloody Mary, etc.\n- Game about video game related legends, like the Atari ET landfill, or trying to steal a prototype for a cancelled Sega console\n- Lower down I mentioned an idea for \u201cmirror\u201d that involved Medusa, that could work here too.\n\n**Out of order**\n- Trying to get a snack from a broken vending machine without breaking it\n- Stranded in the wilderness, you need to repair a radio or vehicle to return to civilization\n- You\u2019re a broken robot that has to find replacement parts for yourself\n- In a car with cut breaks\n\n**Echoes**\n- Something regarding sonar.  Submarine? Bats?\n- A game where you have to carry a duck up a mountain to prove it\u2019s quack does\/does not have an echo\n- A paranormal investigator who can hear \u2018echos\u2019 caused by residual haunting\n\n**Infestation**\n- Puzzle game, Dr Mario style, but where you\u2019re fighting pest instead of viruses\n- A game were you are a pest, seeking food for the rest of your colony\/next\n- A game where you control small nano-bots that \u201cinfest\u201d an enemies base\/ship\n\n**Become the enemy**\n- A game about being a double agent\n- A game where you\u2019re a henchman trying to overthrow your supervillain boss\n- Zombies, vampires, werewolves, any antagonist that can literally turn you into them\n- Stealth game where you\u2019re master of disguise or shapeshifter\n\n**Read the manual**\n- A game that literally has a PDF you have to read, if only because it has copy protection\n- You find alien technology but the manual is written in their language, you need to translate it. Maybe a puzzle game.\n- You find a coded distress message written in a users manual, decipher it to liberate a slave game developer\n\n**Shelter**\n- Shelter yourself with a shield from falling objects, use it to bash enemies that run at you from the side\n- trapped in the wilderness, you need to find\/build shelter before freezing\n- the pest game from \u201cinfestation\u201d, but with an added mechanic of hiding areas from cat or exterminator\n\n**Outnumbered**\n- Simple action game where baddies constantly come at you\n- A competition to solve math questions quickly against an opponent.\n- a \u201cRisk\u201d style board game where numbers of units in a specific battle can affect odds\n\n**One tool, many purposes**\n- platformer where a tool (ie a hammer) is used to break\/fix things but also a weapon\n- the shield game in \u201cshelter\u201d could work here. Maybe the shield is also a sled when you stand on it\n\n**Clockwork**\n- The \u201cbroken robot\u201d idea for \u201cout of order\u201d might work here too\n- find the correct missing part in a machine to return functionality\n- platform inside giant machine, need to walk along gears, etc\n\n**Make connections**\n- The double agent idea from \u201cBecome the enemy\u201d could work, \u201cconnections\u201d as in assets you\u2019re investigating\n- Running around facility connecting wires to restore power\n- A game about finding\/providing cell phone coverage in a spotty area\n- A game where you\u2019re cupid, have to shoot the right people when they\u2019re close to their soulmate, so people aren\u2019t falling in love with the wrong person\n\n**Parasite**\n- A game about being a mosquito\n- A stealth game about stealing coworkers food from fridge\n\n**Different every time**\n- A game with randomly generated anything\n\n**Garden**\n- the pest game in \u201cinfestation\u201d could work, but your grabbing food from a garden\n- Plants vs zombies type?f\n- Gardenscapes type puzzle game?\n\n**Mirror**\n- a fast-paced games where an enemy \u2018hacker\u2019 will invert your vertical and\/or horizontal controls every few seconds.\n- a game involving vampires, and how mirrors expose them\n- a game where you\u2019re hunting Medusa.  You can look at her reflection but not her directly.\n\n**Out of bounds**\n- A sports game with boundaries.
