I’m in. This will be my fourth Dare, second Compo. My Jam during #30 produced Tether, my Jam during #32 produced Zolf, and my Compo during #31 produced [scene missing].

That’s right. I forfeited last December. The middle of day 2, I realized my framework was not robust enough to allow me do to what I needed to do without tearing a bunch of it out and starting fresh.

So this compo shall be my revenge. No excuses, no sloppy code, no mercy.

Code will be Javascript / HTML5 / CSS. JS should all stay in the browser, unless I have some supercompelling reason to add a Node.js server.

Music will be done with probably Bosca Ceoil. SFX with SFXR .

Art (yeesh, I’m not a visual artist AT ALL) will be done in make8bitart, or Gimp if that proves too challenging.

And now, here I sit, equipped with a computer, a cup of tea, and Thai food that is almost certainly too spicy to eat. And I wait. I eagerly await this opportunity to better myself, and craft a product that says “Made by Bill AND NOBODY ELSE”.

Good luck to my fellow competitors, good luck to the jammers, thanks to the LD staff for making this event possible, and thanks especially to you, the reader.

August 21st, 2015 5:17 pm
Compoooooooooooo"}
