Completed my game entry for the compo. I like using game jams to try out something new. For this game jam I decided to try Panda3D. Using Panda3D was fun, although the lack of an editor to place objects in the scene made most of the program's source code about that (very tedious). With some preparation I could have turned Blender into my editor for the game by marking objects with user data and having my program read through the scene. Overall, Panda3D is a pretty nice engine that's easy to get into (I learned it in 72 hours-ish (48 during this jam), before then I only ever messed around with it, creating a single object with a spinning camera), has the stuff I need to make things, and the docs are better than most. I recommend trying it.

GL. May the bugs in your game cease.
