Want to join Ludum Dare but don't know how to make a game? (+ I'm in!)

Well, I got just the thing for you... :)
I'm creating a tutorial series for people just starting out on their game dev adventure and part #5 just went live. It is quite in-depth and covers topics like physics, game logic, UI, audio, visual effects etc. No prior knowledge needed. Check it out if that sounds interesting to you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnBTmYXThOY
And if you're already more advanced and just want to be even faster, better, stronger, I also got something for you: A playlist of tips and tricks to improve your workflows and therefore development speed, crucial in a game jam!

Leaving the shameless self promo aside for a moment: I'm also very much in for LD50! :sparkles:
Planning on making a game with a simple but engaging core mechanic and story, some hopefully striking 3D art brought to you by Blender, and with a focus on captivatingly emotional music. We'll see how this turns out :D

Oh and I'm thinking about streaming the development process, but not sure yet, as a game jam is demanding enough on its own already... I'll decide this next week, but I'll definitely do some let's plays of your games again after the jam, like last time: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEl7CIZGv53w-ztHcH9PCJZN0UQTLzqkQ (there it is again, that shameless self promo ^^)

Anyway, very much looking forward to the jam and only slightly afraid of the theme... See you all there!
(and for eye-catching purposes, here's a little collage of some of my previous LD games)
