Okay, I'm In!

I'm IN!

I was concerned about committing to participating due to still being in the last third of my university semester. That said, I miss jamming! I'm gonna commit and do whatever I can to ensure I can participate, even if I have to break for other responsibilities here and there. I'll be participating solo, but—as always—I'll be using friends and family as a sounding board. I've been going back through Pixel Prophecy's excellent post-mortem docs to get pumped, finished the theme slaughter, and making plans for the crazy weekend coming up. Next stop, play with Unity a little to refamiliarize myself with it after a much to long hiatus. Anyway, that leads me to...

My tool list:
  • :desktop: Engine: Unity
    • Heard Pixel Prophecy describe it as a Swiss-Army Knife and I couldn't agree more. Might be more efficient to use other tools depending on the idea, but having an understanding of Unity means I have a base to build off of for most anything.
  • :pencil: Editor: Visual Studio
    • Just using it for it's easy integration with Unity, as long as I can make sure it's properly configured before the jam.
  • :musical_keyboard: Music Tools: FL Studio, Arturia KeyLab 61 MkII, Misc. VSTs, Audacity for any basic recording/editing
    • It's what I have, it's what I know how to use, and it's versatile enough for me.
  • :loud_sound: Misc. Audio Tools: Audacity, SFXR/BFXR
    • Extra tools for recording sounds, quick adjustments, and creating SFX quickly.
  • :paintbrush: Art Tools: Affinity Designer/Photo, Paint.Net (pixel art), MagicaVoxel (3D Voxel), Blender (3D General)
    • All the tools I have on hand, used based on need.

I think that's everything, but you never know. Have a great jam everybody! See you when the Theme Voting starts!
