Theme Voting, Round 2, ideas so far
A lot less themes in this round that I can get ideas for. A few of my ideas are based off recreating a classic
Some assembly required - a platformer where every level/life starts you with a missing part - each level is missing pieces and you have a limited number of parts to complete it
Playing both sides - one-player volleyball where you have to run to both sides of the next. keep the ball up. - some of the ideas in round one involved being a double-agent, I guess that fits here too. - a game about fueling PC/Mac flame wars
Fragile - game with destructible level, like Angry Birds? - you're a boxer with a glass jaw
One use only - game involving grenades - you play as a robot that has to self-destruct at the end of each level and be replaced for the next
Replication - space shooter where you can clone an enemy ship to play alongside you - a game about being a software pirate
Mutation - game where level-to-level you advance with new superpowers
Automation - a game where you have to pre-program your player movements before level starts - a game about building a rube goldberg machine
Delay the inevitable - any sort of "endless" game, endless runner, zombie attack, progressing tower defense, etc. - a game about running from police, survive as long as you can
Layers - a game like Burger Time - game involving cakes or pancakes - platformer with three levels all on top of each other (sky, ground, underground) that you travel between
Corruption - a game about hacking - a game about being a corrupt figure (politician, cop, ect)
Color is a mechanic - puzzle game like Dr. Mario, Puzzle Fighter, etc. - a stealth game where you change your color to blend in
Overflow - puzzle game like tetris where you have to keep the play area from filling - game about bailing out a sinking ship
You control the environment, not the character - you're a ghost possessing inanimate objects in a house - spy game, you're watching your partner through cameras and hacking doors/etc to help them progress
Leave something behind - you have limited inventory space so you have to leave items to get new ones - you're a theft who leaves a calling card
Snowball effect - resturaunt manager. serving customers, and doing well, means more customers
A faithful companion - game involving dogs
