Back in 2014 when I did my first LD I had no idea how to make a game. I had been playing around with LibGDX for a few months without knowing what I was doing.

For many years, since 2016, I have participated with my friend Mathias but this time he wasn't able to make it this weekend so I decided to do the solo compo again for the first time since 2015 which makes this the 16th time I'm doing Ludum dare.

Saturday was kind of bad, I was tired and had a head ache for many hours but got most of the graphic and basic play mechanics done. I also took two breaks from the programming and played around in my DAW of choice Ableton live. And suddenly I had two songs that I could use. One very sad and eerie song and one more happy song.

Sunday have been spent on creating levels, adding start and end screens and also took one more break in Ableton and created an intro tune.

I usually spend three days when doing the jam so it feels strange to be done and submitted already on Sunday evening.

As always it's been a great weekend even if I have felt tired and not having enough energy.

The game is called Grandma and is about saving grandma so she can have a few more days to live.. a very sad theme this time but we are also living in sad and terrible times at the moment so I guess that makes sense.

The game can be found at https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/50/grandma and I can't wait to start to test other compo games :)
