In previous LDs, I used to wait with curiosity until the actual theme is revealed and then grab a piece of paper to scheme the potential ideas for a game. This time however, I would like to do a hot-seat idea generation based on every potential theme in the final voting round. That way at least I will be prepared even for the theme I don't feel comfortable with.\n\n### Understand your strengths and weaknesses :muscle: \n\nAfter a couple completed LDs, I managed to get a brief idea on what am I good with and what I still lack on. I also cannot stress enough on how vital the initial time spend on generating ideas on a piece of paper is. That way, you're able to identify the potential scope of the game and quickly bury all the unnecessary features and tweaks before diving into the prototype.\n\n\n### Good luck to all :fireworks: \n\nRemember, no matter if you finish or not. \n\nWhether you go with Compo\/Jam\/Extra. \n\nWhether you pummel down in reviews or get 5 stars in every category (I wish to all to get them at one point haha).\n\nThe sole reason you decided to come here and participate is a success on it's own!\n \n","comments":1,"comments-timestamp":"2023-05-01T20:25:43Z","created":"2022-09-28T13:57:44Z","files":[],"files-timestamp":0,"id":300534,"love":12,"love-timestamp":"2022-09-28T22:04:22Z","meta":[],"modified":"2023-05-01T20:25:43Z","name":"Prepping for 5th Compo ","node-timestamp":"2022-09-28T15:24:19Z","parent":297493,"parents":[1,5,9,296586,297493],"path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/51\/flarescape\/prepping-for-5th-compo","published":"2022-09-28T15:24:19Z","scope":"public","slug":"prepping-for-5th-compo","subsubtype":"","subtype":"","type":"post","version":925479},"node_metadata":{"n_key":"300534","n_urlkey":"393098","n_parent":"297493","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/51\/flarescape\/prepping-for-5th-compo","n_slug":"prepping-for-5th-compo","n_type":"post","n_subtype":"","n_subsubtype":"","n_author":"212773","n_created":"1664373464","n_modified":"1682972743","n_version":"925479","n_status":"WAYBACK"},"source_url":"https:\/\/ldjam.com\/events\/ludum-dare\/51\/flarescape\/prepping-for-5th-compo","text":"Last time I ended having less than 10 hours to make a Compo game (which actually turned out to be a great challenge)!\n\nThis time though, I believe it's nice to have at least a simple boilerplate and prep myself even more for 2D\/3D projects I am willing to take.\n\n### Unity boilerplate prep :tools: \n\n1.
