{"author_name":"Vilborg","cat":"LD #32","comments":[],"epoch":1429405560,"likes":1,"metadata":{"p_key":"19193","p_author":"Vilborg","p_authorkey":"4884","p_urlkey":"54518","p_title":"Well that was a bust","p_cat":"LD #32","p_event":"LD32","p_time":"1429405560","p_likes":"1","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"4884","us_name":"Vilborg","us_username":"vilborg","event_start":"1429228800","event_key":"27","event_name":"LD32"},"text":"<p>Well, I thought of a pretty interesting game idea based around a standard fighting or shooting game, but with weapons deterministically generated from input text files. \u00a0The idea would be that you would have the game import fanfiction, and then semi-literally fight with fanfiction.<\/p>\n <p>Sadly, figuring out how to do the string parsing was more of a job than I expected, and I was also distracted with other things going on. \u00a0And now I have to cut off my time a day early, because there&#8217;s a large project due next week I haven&#8217;t started. \u00a0Oh well.<\/p>\n <p>The takeaway here, though, is the number of really interesting ideas I came up with for games with unconventional weapons. \u00a0This particular fanfiction fighter I&#8217;m going to pursue in more spare time I have later on.<\/p>","time":"April 18th, 2015 8:06 pm","title":"Well that was a bust"}
