But it has progressed!

Since my lib is missing even basic tilemap importation, I had to do it from scratch. I could have look for some lib to help me… but what would be the fun of that? Instead, I wrote my own plugin for Tiled (somewhat based on a previous plugin I’d written).

It’s finally working, and I can export both the tilemap and the collideable areas (though that was made in a rather ugly way…). Since there isn’t much fun in a code screenshot (there’s some… but not for all people XD), here’s how my map look in Tiled:

Yeah… I was lazy and didn’t implement any way to detect walls automatically. I’ve done that before, but didn’t want to reuse that code (it’s quite messy =X).

Until next update, when I hope to have at least a player moving on the screen!

April 18th, 2015 11:58 am
There was progress!
