I've been wanting to enter LD for many years, but life and work (mostly work) kept getting in the way. This year I'm finally able to avoid all that and have set aside the weekend, with the caveat "if health allows". Unfortunately, age and health mean I can no longer push myself as hard as I used to; and I doubt I'll finish. I've struggled all week with whether to officially enter, or just write some code over the same time, but I had a realization:

We all know it isn't about winning, but it also isn't really about finishing a game; it is about challenging yourself, doing your best, and sharing what you are able to do.

If you're reading this and debating giving it a go, do it! Don't worry about the outcome; just try your best and share the process with someone.

I'll be spending most of my weekend seeing what I can put together, maybe helping others, and trying to stream some of it on twitch. Feel free to say hi.
