I've known about Ludum Dare for over a decade, but didn't think about participating in until a friend mentioned he had coded a prototype in the GMTK jam. We decided that we didn't want to wait an entire year to work together again, so now we have two coders and one artist figuring out how to work together. It's been very satisfying figuring out a pipeline and having a hard stopping point for submissions; keeps us focused. We get better and better each time, so this is another opportunity to polish our skills.
