I thought I'd show off some of the creatures you might encounter the deeper you explore the labyrinth...

Pillbeetle

A relatively harmless creature, it moves back and forth around it's own territory. If you get too close though, it won't hesitate to bite!

Hopperslime

Excited creatures, Hopperslimes will jump around whenever the player is near, trying to intercept them as they come by, thinking the player is some kind of food.

Shroomites

Mushroom folk that burrow themselves into the ground, they hop around when out of the soil in search for a snack. When they see a treat, they will begin to hop in it's direction rather than back and forth. Careful though, you might just be the treat they've been waiting for!

Shieldsword

This haunted weaponry floats around the castle of the labyrinth. Once existing as a respectable guard of the castle that once stood on the surface, these long passed spirits take the form of a shield, floating around until they spot an intruder. When they find someone who doesn't belong, they shapeshift into a sword, swinging at them to stop them from progressing. It is reported that Shieldswords are the reason most don't return from the heart of the labyrinth...
