A tip for people with not enough ratings

Since we try to help each other..:

TLDR:

Rating And commenting meaningfully on games is the sure-fire way for your game to be seen more.

The longer version:

The visibility queue

So, it seems to be pretty simple (and confirmed by other members and our self-giving host Mike as well) - I have not checked how exactly it works, but I know it is there since every time I rated a game, the next day I was getting an equivalent (or close to) number of ratings. No posts, no additional self-promotion comments anywhere, no nothing. Note: I do spend time to quality-comment on most games, not a single one did I not comment (not sure if this is related or not, But the site also says that the coolness/karma rate is probably involved too (when you get a heart on your useful comment, again - more people WILL see your creation).

So it seems it really is a community exercise : ))) I very much liked it (first competitive LD for me, finding some awesome and warm-hearted friends here : )))

The proof

I am already at 30 ratings without even trying to do much (other than the above) after the 15th, so no need to check my thing.

Thank you all aaaand have fun playing and providing feedback to others! There are around ~50% percent of the games with < 20 ratings yet. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/stats

Enjoy! ^^
