Feeling ready
It's been a while, 3 years to be exact. A lot happened in the meanwhile - I got seriously into board games starting full-time as a software developer for a board game publisher, started building my dream framework for implementation of board games, and had a lot of fun along the way, worked on some great board games, and built 3 or so supporting apps for board games.
I have been refining and developing my JS skills, working a lot with NPM ecosystem, React, React Native, Node. The main work project got pretty big, with multiple people getting involved, and many great users helping us with testing and developing of our board game projects.
This Ludum Dare, I want to rawdog JS, like in the old days. Not having to deal with any packages, compilation/build errors, good practices. Just create.
I really like deckbuilding, both on the table and in a videogame - it is just so satisfying when things go right. I also really like short-form highscore-based games, which I think fits deckbuilding quite well. So I think I will combine that with whatever theme comes up.
Wish me luck!
