Personal feelings Post-Mortem

Hi there,

I want to share my thoughts and feelings (actually mostly record for myself, but anyway) regarding how this LD was for me personally.

To be honest the last LD we participated I felt really overwhelmed and left all creativity & production control to my mate Roman (@ramonvicious). It didn't went well in all senses, the resulting game was probably worse in our jam history and I felt really personal about it, coz it was mostly my fault. A big part of the failure was the team size - it required quite a lot of coordination and I didn't have any resources to do that on that weekend.

But anyway we decided to reshuffle the team and we invited Maria (@momotiktik) who come up with the most earwormy OST for our creation, we got on our side Andrew (@whiteseason) who helped Roman with the code and Dmitry (@ein) who dropped the most realistic (and a bit sad) story about aging.

I was a bit skeptical in the very beginning and didn't expect much, to be completely honest. I know by the previous experience that bigger size teams spend more on communication, coordination and overall friction inside. Some people might not like the idea, some might be not ready for the commitment level etc. And that's a process that can easily cause a domino effect.

However the team we gathered overcome all my expectations. The first day we gathered for a brainstorm everyone was here and ready for the action despite different timezones and schedules. I really impressed how self-managing everyone was and I'm sure our efforts and passion feels thru the entry.

I will try to drop some insides about how we organize our work and the whole process if you are interested in (so comment this post if you are). And if you didn't try our game yet - give it a go.

Cheers!
