I'd like to use **PyxelEdit**, as I prefer to be able to see all the cells of an animation at the same time. And although I'll miss out on a lot of the features that Aseprite has, I'd like to use PyxelEdit next time and be able to find an agile workflow that allows me to draw and import it into my project, which will allow me to work faster.\n\nI'd also like to work on the sound aspect and get to know and include the tools, **PxTone** and **LabChirp**. I think they go well with the retro touch I'd like to give my games.\n\n## Personal goal\n\nCompare yourself only to yourself and no one else. Look at your previous games, know what you can do and how long it takes you, that's the best way to enjoy Ludumdare more. Having a few spikes of stress during Ludum is permissible, but being constantly stressed because you're doing something beyond your means or even having to withdraw from the event is not something enjoyable or pleasant.\n\nThe best advice I've read is \"Make something simple, that you can expand on if you have time\". If you take a bite that you can swallow, you'll have a more enjoyable jam.\n\nGiven my previous Overall results in Compo, I'd like to rank below 300 this time. I would be very happy with that.\n\n![Capture.PNG](\/\/\/raw\/b47\/1\/z\/6487e.png)\n\nThanks for reading and play my game:\n\n[![head.png](\/\/\/raw\/b47\/1\/z\/61b8b.png)](https:\/\/ldjam.com\/events\/ludum-dare\/55\/unsummoners-saga-disaster-in-the-village)\n\n### [Play my Ludumdare Game](https:\/\/ldjam.com\/events\/ludum-dare\/55\/unsummoners-saga-disaster-in-the-village)\n","comments":0,"created":"2024-04-20T11:06:21Z","files":[],"files-timestamp":0,"id":394283,"love":3,"love-timestamp":"2024-04-20T12:10:21Z","meta":[],"modified":"2024-04-20T12:10:21Z","name":"A few words I'd like to put on record:","node-timestamp":"2024-04-20T11:12:40Z","parent":387672,"parents":[1,5,9,383062,387672],"path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/55\/unsummoners-saga-disaster-in-the-village\/a-few-words-id-like-to-put-on-record","published":"2024-04-20T11:10:32Z","scope":"public","slug":"a-few-words-id-like-to-put-on-record","subsubtype":"","subtype":"","type":"post","version":1234714},"node_metadata":{"n_key":"394283","n_urlkey":"442980","n_parent":"387672","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/55\/unsummoners-saga-disaster-in-the-village\/a-few-words-id-like-to-put-on-record","n_slug":"a-few-words-id-like-to-put-on-re","n_type":"post","n_subtype":"","n_subsubtype":"","n_author":"5963","n_created":"1713611181","n_modified":"1713615021","n_version":"1234714","n_status":"WAYBACK"},"source_url":"https:\/\/ldjam.com\/events\/ludum-dare\/55\/unsummoners-saga-disaster-in-the-village\/a-few-words-id-like-to-put-on-record","text":"## My story:\n\nThis was my fourth successful ludumdare and my third solo ludumdare (compo). \n\n- 35: compo\n- 37: jam\n- ~~40: jam (unfinished)~~\n- ~~50: compo (unfinished)~~\n- 53: compo\n- 55: compo\n\n## Fav Tools\n\nI would like to stick with my custom Pixi.js based engine in future LudumDares: https:\/\/github.com\/josemwarrior\/ludumdare-starter-project\/\n\nFor some strange reason, I'm not entirely convinced by **Aseprite**.
