The "I'm in" Post :)

Hello Jammers, i am back for another Episode of "Ludum Dare". This will be my 17th time.

The tools i used

I would like to tell you which tools i probably used this time. - Art: Aseprite - Sound: Bfxr - Music: Beepbox or FL studio - Engine: Game Maker Studio 2 probably

So the engine is the keytopic again. I am still try to leave "Unity Land" so i am still trying out engine that have good consoles support(PS4/PS5 and switch mostly).

Last time i started with Defold and realized that i was not ready so i switched to GoDot and made my game. This time i plan to use Game Maker. I used it now some monthes for a game and i think i am ready to use it for a jam...hopefully :)

Some tips for jammin'

I would share some tips that are hopefully helpful for the jam: - Scope small but not too small. Means : yeah finish a game in a small scope but if you have too small or boring features it doesnt get good rated. - If you are on vacation and your head is full of sun and beach - don't jam. Really this brain is also on vacation and you don't get a good game out mostly (i tried this and failed lol). - Stream your development to twitch or youtube (even if it is just your desktop without talking). Because this forces you to focus on dev instead of browsing social media or something. - Get a template project ready. So you can prepare a project (also allowed for compo) with your tools and most used script, a title screen, credits, end scene. - Try to get your core loop ready as soon as possible to check if this is what your game should be. I know - i should also do this and don't paint art first haha. - Have fun and don't stress to much.
