Inspiration for Springtail
When the theme was announced as "Tiny Creatures" I knew I had to make a game about these little guys:
Springtails are tiny critters that are beneficial to our soil, and they have the coolest defense mechanism that allows them to spring away from predators at over 20,000 RPM and over 80 times their body size! The jumps are incredible, and they're also incredibly chaotic.
My game, Springtail, is my attempt to recreate the behavior of these tiny creatures, presented as a Foddian/Rage game. My aim was to make the jumps as chaotic and funny as they are in real life!
Springtail plays similarly to Jump King, so expect to fall a lot. It's not a genre for everyone, so I describe how to enable cheat tools in the game description. I hope you like it! :)
