But for me, LD&#8217;s not a good investment. I have school and workplace and that&#8217;s where I invest, but they don&#8217;t teach as much as LD does. I make games for school and work, so I\u00a0compo or jam\u00a0to learn how to make one.<\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">Here&#8217;s my way doing each concept after my first attempt on LD (about two years ago) and I&#8217;ve not been making a good game for LD since (tho I only been on three LDs, four with a canceled one). This works for\u00a0first time\u00a0programmers such as myself who indulges more to learning rather than making.<span id=\"more-439529\"><\/span><\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>D-X<\/strong><\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>1. Fifth Vote<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">Here&#8217;s where you start LD, not the D-day. Get your tools and\u00a0the code you&#8217;d want to learn ready.<\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>2. Hello World<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">Make sure you know the basic code and have at least make a hello world out of it.<\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>3. Generators<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">You can find it anywhere for any assets you&#8217;d work with. Try to &#8216;master&#8217; your tools before D-1.<\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>D-1<\/strong><\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>4. Pen, Papers, and Coffee<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">Amazing tools for D-1. Make sure your\u00a0mind\u00a0is free from chain that binds and start scratching.<\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>5. Mix-a-Lot<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">You will see\u00a0lots of\u00a0themes on fifth vote,\u00a0so make a gameplay that fits <em>ALL<\/em> of them.<\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>6. Pre-Assets<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">Start scratching your assets too. Whether it&#8217;ll fit your game or not. Junks might even help you.<\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>D-Day<\/strong><\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>7. Finalize<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">Spend the first 12 hour (or 6 if you&#8217;re an experienced game designer) of LD to finalize the design.<\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>8. Codeblock<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">If you ever hit the brick wall and can&#8217;t\u00a0code the way you wanted, be flexible and do what you can instead of\u00a0forcing your design to happen.<\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>9. Google&#8217;s Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">You should never get out of assets at this point. Use whatever google can offer so long as you don&#8217;t break the creative copyright.<\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Final Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n <hr \/>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">\n <p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>10. Stop<\/strong><\/p>\n <p style=\"text-align: center\">Don&#8217;t hit the last minute mark. Stop making your game around 6 hours before the bell rings.
