Thank you for playing!

I achieved an all-time record for one of my games: 80 reviews! Thank you all for the incredible feedback on Fifty-Six Lilypads! I’m thrilled that so many of you enjoyed the game’s strategic depth, the charming frogs, and the multiplayer potential. Hearing that brought to mind board game favorites like Hey, That’s My Fish (my clear inspiration for the game mechanic) and Blokus really made my day!
Your comments on ways to improve the game have been super helpful, too. Many noted the AI could use a bit of a boost for a tougher solo challenge. When I started the jam, my goal was to design the AI, and I had in mind a great idea on how to address that, but making the game took all the time, and I resorted to an almost random AI player (I call it Jarjar). I really want to take the opportunity to rework the AI post-JAM. There were also a few requests for better game-ending cues/automation when one player is done playing, such as adding frog-movement animation from Lilypad to Lilypad. I'd like to write another music to go with the game.
Come show your interest, by staring the project on Github, it'll help get me going! GitHub repo—updates will be coming soon, and I can’t wait to share them with you all. Thanks again for playing, and for the great suggestions to make Fifty-Six Lilypads even better! 🐸
