My scores and my congratulations to all the winners
That’s my score. I think that I haven’t make nothing so bad, all those scores have passed the 50% of the scores, even if some of them doesn’t deserve it. Now I’ll say what I think of every score:
Theme: Well, I know that so many people hated the theme this time, but me, instead of hating the theme, I hate the way the most people (including me) implemented it. We used the theme as a handicap, as a limitation of our screen, when “entire game on one screen” can mean a lot of things more. And also, every game is in one screen, even if it have views or other stuff like this. Anyway, some people sayed that I used the theme in a great way. Maybe it’s because I tried to demonstrate that a fixed view isn’t always a limitation, with it you can make a great platformer.
Fun: So people (here and in other websites) sayed that the game is addicting. In fact, I think that that’s the most addicting game that I made. May I’ll use this gameplay in the future.
Overall: I’m happy with this score, that’s for me the most important category, because it doesn’t indicate if I’m a good artist, programmer or musician it says if I’m a good indiedev in all th things (or a great team for some people).
Mood: Yeah, I know, my game is frustrating :P. But I’m not sure what this category means at all, so I can’t really comment it here.
Humor: I wasn’t pretending to make a funny game, LOL. Anyway, maybe someone understanded the joke about mr, ducka nd the room0 (room’s default name in game maker: studio and maybe in some more programs). And may someone found funny the graphics. The next time I’ll make a really funny game.
Graphics: It seems that people here likes my gameboy-vntage style. And yes, this time the resolution is higher that the gameboy one, but it would be so difficult making the game even with a smaller level.
Audio: I think that I don’t really deserve it at all. My game only have a few sfx, because I haven’t tme for music.
Innovation: This is the only score for what I expected a bit more. At least more than the audio category :P. But anyway, my game only innovates in some mechanics, it’s a classic platformer.
Well, now I want to say thank you to everyone who voted my entry. I loved the whole jam, I received loads of feedback, even more that the feedback I receive normally in Newgrounds. I love that here most f the people that plays a game comments it, and how of kind is everyone. Also congratulations for the top 100, those are great games!!!
