It&#8217;s amazing to watch approximately 32 hours of work compressed to slightly more than 6 minutes. Makes it look so easy to create, while it was a struggle sometimes. Especially with my arch nemesis, collision detection.<\/p>\n <p>Here it is:<\/p>\n <p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LmW43Z5vDhI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n <p>The game I created is called <a title=\"Submission\" href=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/ludum-dare-31\/?action=preview&amp;uid=45465\" target=\"_blank\">One Screen of Burgers<\/a> and is inspired by the old arcade classic Burger Time. I did not look at the original, except for one static screenshot, and made everything from memory. There was not enough time anymore to make sounds for the game, but it&#8217;s playable and has the full cycle implemented,\u00a0game start, play game and game over.<\/p>\n <p>I think I should mention that the source code, while doing the job, is not a good source for &#8220;best practice&#8221; in software development. I consider it a &#8220;giant pile of dirty hacks&#8221;, which is probably an understatement for some of the code, but true for most of it <img src=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/simple-smile.png\" alt=\":)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>","time":"December 9th, 2014 4:53 pm","title":"Timelapse for my submission"}
