1346 Lines, 19 Models, 72 hours Later, I Am Technician was completed and released<\/p>\n

During this painfully slow but quite exciting process I learnt a lot of things in Unity, it was a wonderful experience. There were highs and lows when working on I Am Technician, At points I felt like giving up and deleting the project and other times I felt like I was on top of the “Code”<\/b> when things went the way I wanted. I must say that I did forget to keep hydrated and eat which lead to me loosing 3kg’s during the jam, but that’s in the past now.<\/p>\n

I’m quite happy with the final results of I Am Technician, I mean there could be some improvements and extra features such as dialog and an in-game tutorial, but overall it’s a good prototype of a game I might just continue developing if you folks enjoy it :). I do believe though that the game isn’t currently showing its full potential, I believe I could amp up the fun with custom physics, more models, phone repairs and virus repairs. But as this was a lone game development I simply didn’t have the time to implement these extra features as the project already took up 62 hour’s of just straight coding and modelling, which was both a mentally and physically draining experience.<\/p>\n

Overall I believe this is quite a good effort on my end as this is my second game and first game jam entry!<\/p>\n
