My first instinct was a sort of huge bossrush game, where you just start in a room, and fight a string of bosses. I’ve still not completely ruled out this idea, but frankly, it just seems a bit pedestrian. Then I thought “What if I made the bosses procedurally generated”, which was a dumb idea, because there’s no good way to make a system that will churn out interesting and fun bosses that are distinct from each other, and even if there was, doing it in two days is not going to work.

After that, the phrase “You are the room” popped into my head, which is an interesting idea, although I haven’t the faintest idea how the thing would actually play out. I briefly touched upon a tower defense game, but frankly, I’ve always found them pretty boring to play, let alone to make. Just as I’m writing this, I was thinking of some sort of top down car racing game.

So in short, no friggin’ idea.

December 5th, 2014 10:18 pm
…So what will I make?"}
