{"author_name":"ianburnette","cat":"LD #31","comments":[],"epoch":1417803240,"likes":0,"metadata":{"p_key":"25083","p_author":"ianburnette","p_authorkey":"44075","p_urlkey":"60497","p_title":"I\u2019m in for the first time!","p_cat":"LD #31","p_event":"LD31","p_time":"1417803240","p_likes":"0","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"44075","us_name":"ianburnette","us_username":"ianburnette","event_start":"1417737600","event_key":"26","event_name":"LD31"},"text":"<p>Despite a huge number of things conspiring to stop me (including the fact that I should really deal with the fact that my car was broken into), I&#8217;m totally in for the compo!<\/p>\n <p>I&#8217;ve never made a game in this length of time before, so I&#8217;m going to have to fight myself (maybe literally fist-fight myself) to stop from making a sprawling zelda-style action adventure game, and instead try something that will help me learn one or two disciplines that I&#8217;ve not gotten to try before (like local multiplayer or dialogue or comedy or something). &#8220;Good luck with that,&#8221; he said to himself, sarcastically.<\/p>\n <p>Tools I&#8217;ll be using:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>Unity 4.6 (because I don&#8217;t know how to use anything else! what is a compiler, anyway?!)<\/li>\n <li>Photoshop (or maybe <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piskelapp.com\/\">Piskel<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aseprite.org\/\">aesprite<\/a> for pixel art)<\/li>\n <li>Blender and Sketchup (in case I decide to be stupid and try to 3d model)<\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.audiotool.com\/\">Audiotool<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beepbox.co\/\">Beepbox<\/a> to create music (and maybe Audition to process it)<\/li>\n <li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bfxr.net\/\">BFXR<\/a> (because I can&#8217;t get enough of those &#8216;splosion sounds!)<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>I&#8217;m fresh off the last jam I did, <a href=\"http:\/\/itch.io\/jam\/7dfps\/rate\/13929\">7DFPS<\/a>, and I was happy with what I produced there, so I&#8217;m hopeful I can produce something that I&#8217;m happy with here as well!<\/p>\n <p>Good luck to everyone!<\/p>","time":"December 5th, 2014 1:14 pm","title":"I\u2019m in for the first time!"}
