{"author_name":"Alphish","cat":"LD #30","comments":[],"epoch":1408993200,"likes":2,"metadata":{"p_key":"26716","p_author":"Alphish","p_authorkey":"39564","p_urlkey":"62148","p_title":"About time to get rating\u2026","p_cat":"LD #30","p_event":"LD30","p_time":"1408993200","p_likes":"2","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"39564","us_name":"Alphish","us_username":"sunflower","event_start":"1408665600","event_key":"24","event_name":"LD30"},"text":"<p>Phew, I sure have been busy during all that competition; now to play through some games with high coolness-to-ratings ratio&#8230;.<\/p>\n <p>Also, if someone is interesting how my star ratings map to the game, here is a reference:<\/p>\n <p>1 star &#8211; poor\/annoying (an element that spoils an otherwise nice game)<br \/>\n 2 star &#8211; decent (nothing great, but serves its purpose well enough)<br \/>\n 3 star &#8211; likeable<br \/>\n 4 star &#8211; remarkable<br \/>\n 5 star &#8211; excellent<\/p>\n <p>That means that if you get 2-stars in some category, it doesn&#8217;t mean I consider it below average; I just prefer to leave more degrees for things I actually liked.<\/p>\n <p>And in relation to themes:<\/p>\n <p>1 star &#8211; not really following the theme<br \/>\n 2 star &#8211; forced (expect in such games naming the theme directly so that people notice it at all)<br \/>\n 3 star &#8211; background (it&#8217;s there and works, but the game wouldn&#8217;t lose much without it)<br \/>\n 4 star &#8211; integrated (the use of theme affects the gameplay\/experience significantly)<br \/>\n 5 star &#8211; inseparable (the game breathes the theme; taking it away would pretty much destroy the game)<\/p>\n <p>Hopefully I&#8217;ll get more time to play tomorrow&#8230;<\/p>","time":"August 25th, 2014 2:00 pm","title":"About time to get rating\u2026"}
