{"author_name":"TimBeaudet","cat":"LD #30","comments":[],"epoch":1408282260,"likes":2,"metadata":{"p_key":"29484","p_author":"TimBeaudet","p_authorkey":"1888","p_urlkey":"64947","p_title":"Sign me up, again!","p_cat":"LD #30","p_event":"LD30","p_time":"1408282260","p_likes":"2","p_comments":"0","p_status":"UPD5","us_key":"1888","us_name":"TimBeaudet","us_username":"timbeaudet","event_start":"1408665600","event_key":"24","event_name":"LD30"},"text":"<p>Not my first 48hour LudumDare rodeo, but\u00a0I have missed a couple recently. \u00a0Not this time. \u00a0I&#8217;ve signing up to use the yet to be finished Turtle Brains framework, my high-quality C++ framework\u00a0for\u00a0real-time application and (slightly lacking [sound, sprites, animation] at the moment), 2D game development on Windows and Mac, and maybe someday, Linux.<\/p>\n <p>So for tools I&#8217;ll be pretty much using:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>C++ (Visual Studio, XCode)<\/li>\n <li>Unfinished TurtleBrains Framework<\/li>\n <li>Audacity, Recorder, SFXR (if I can get sounds working)<\/li>\n <li>Inkscape, Paint.net, MS Paint, Blender (if I go 3D instead of 2D)<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>Probably a few tools that are not listed here, but I will\u00a0be attempting to do LD30!<\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p>Note: TurtleBrains is available, as-is, if you want it just\u00a0ask BlackBird on the LudumDare irc channel or email me and I&#8217;ll get you a link. \u00a0I am not going to link it publicly just yet because the\u00a0feature set is incomplete and the documentation\u00a0is lacking a little. \u00a0The current documentation can be found at: http:\/\/www.timbeaudet.com\/turtle_brains\/documentation\/ which doesn&#8217;t have much for the &#8220;game development&#8221; side because, being honest, that is currently lacking&#8230; \u00a0I wanted to have 2D sprite management and sounds by now, but only have a state machine, and basic keyboard\/mouse input.<\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>","time":"August 17th, 2014 8:31 am","title":"Sign me up, again!"}
