I turned the simple physics concept into a game! I&#8217;m pretty happy with this one. \u00a0The pace of the game is a lot slower than I originally planned. \u00a0It&#8217;s pretty hard to have things all your own way when it comes to physics libraries. \u00a0The game is pretty fun, I think. It takes a lot of patience to keep the carts from spilling everywhere but you can&#8217;t go too slowly as there is a timer on each level.<\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p><img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-353587\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/titleOpt.gif\" alt=\"titleOpt\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n <p>The graphics turned out\u00a0<em>OK<\/em>. \u00a0I think they&#8217;re a bit grungier than I would have liked but our hero is down a mine after all.<\/p>\n <p><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-353680\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/hoorayOpt1.gif\" alt=\"hoorayOpt\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n <p>I didn&#8217;t have time to add a lot of polish I would have liked:<\/p>\n <ul>\n <li>A roof to the mine<\/li>\n <li>Support struts<\/li>\n <li>Sparks while braking<\/li>\n <li>Other minecart trains whooshing around in the background<\/li>\n <li>Parallax scroll<\/li>\n <li>Any sound whatsoever<\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <p>But that is always the case when I enter LD <img src=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/simple-smile.png\" alt=\":)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\" \/><\/p>\n <p><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-353586\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/endOpt.gif\" alt=\"endOpt\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n <p>Here&#8217;s the submission page if you want to try it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/ludum-dare-29\/?action=preview&amp;uid=11211\">out<\/a><\/p>\n <p>&nbsp;<\/p>","time":"April 27th, 2014 6:53 pm","title":"Miner Matter"}
